Reclaiming Our Birthright

Reclaiming Our Birthright

“One is not born a woman, one becomes one.” -Simone de Beauvoir

By combining the Kamana Naturalist Training Program with Women’s Ways TM, we will explore and build our connection to nature and ourselves as women. We will develop awareness of the natural world around us as well as the rich inner world we have available to us through our biology. By reclaiming our feminine essence, we will be able to bring ourselves to live authentically.

Come with us on a journey to remember who you truly are!
Have you ever felt the very moment you are in feels so old, like something deeply familiar? Cellular memory is calling to you. Your deepest self is remembering.
Did you ever wish you grew up in a community where you had sisters, grandmothers, aunties and wise women to hold you and teach you the ways of women who live close to the earth?
Join us for Reclaiming Our Birthright to remember how to be authentic women as we weave together time tested teachings from ancient cultures. Together with the support of Vermont Wilderness School, Moonfire Meeting House and The Women’s Ways Mystery School we will explore our true nature.

We will gather together to study the successful home study course, Kamana Naturalist Training Program, as well as Women’s Ways TM , as taught to me by Lorraine Simone, Rev., M.S. Ed., C.Ht. the founder of Moonfire Meeting House and The Women’s Ways Mystery School.
We will also study as a group the successful home study course, the Kamana Naturalist Training Program. “The Kamana Naturalist Training Program is a four level independent study program that covers the naturalist background needed to engage in the wilderness arts, including tracking, bird language, survival and native living skills, traditional herbalism, and naturalist mentoring. It is the ultimate blueprint for a students' time spent in the field and in conducting nature-related research. Students become confident naturalists, melding modern field ecology with the skills of a native scout.” http://www.kamana.org/ We will be doing level 1 & 2.

Our first gathering will be on March 28th ->29th, where we will mark our beginning with Circle Work and a group bonding ceremony. We will spend time together every 6 weeks or so through November 6th ->8th when we will graduate from and celebrate the first phase of this deeply rich program.
Other facilitators who will be joining us this year:
Dan Guardoqui from White Pine Wilderness School will come to teach us bird language in April.
In August, we will have Lorraine Simone, Rev., M.S. Ed., C.Ht. from NY, my teacher for many years, to bring us deeper into our sacred selves through Journey Work and Sacred Communication.
In September we will have Earthsinger Joan Henry to teach us music and women’s songs.
In November we will be back with Lorraine Simone when she and I conduct a Sacred Fire Ceremony and a Group Gradation to honor our journey so far.

Those who wish to go on to the next level of teachings will be made aware of that information at our Group Graduation weekend.
Women who have already done or are doing the Kamana Naturalist Training Program are
invited to join us as well. Please call or write for more information.

The Vermont Wilderness School will be our local support for the Kamana Naturalist Training Program.

The nature of this work is very personal and class size will be limited. Please register and complete your interview ASAP.
